| Residents at Kargil Chowk were witness to sudden overcast conditions on Tuesday, which weathermen attributed to the strengthening of the western disturbance that hit Bihar last week. They, however, assured the residents that the cloud cover was expected to clear by Wednesday morning. “The western disturbance after reaching the Odisha coast on Tuesday got some moisture from the Bay of Bengal. So, it rained in Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh and overcast conditions were witnessed in several parts of Bihar. But the system is weak and the cloud cover is expected to clear from Bihar by Wednesday morning,” said Ashish Sen, director, India Meteorological Department, Patna. He added that the mercury could start rising over the next couple of days. Text by Piyush Kumar Tripathi, picture by Ashok Sinha |
