For Kanishka were her coaches at Don Bosco Academy, Eric De Rozario and Ranjit Kumar. The duo not only helped her learn the sport but also encouraged her at every step.

Team player…

Describes her best as she is an integral part of her school team (she is presently at International School). Kanishka has taken part in several district-level tournaments. At a recent inter-school tournament, she was adjudged the best player.

Parental support…

Guides Kanishka, who is inspired by parents, Chandra Bhushan Singh and Poonam Kumari. A source of encouragement, her parents have always supported Kanishka in her pursuit of sports.

Multi-talented…

Kanishka has also tried her hands at badminton and handball. She is proficient in emboss and oil painting and is a skilled dancer.

Future plan…

Of Kanishka is to become a civil engineer. She would also like to bring laurels for the country in throwball.
