Solidarity for colleague
BJP members, including former minister and Sitamarhi MLA Sunil Kumar Pintu (centre), sit on dharna at Gardanibagh on Friday to demand lifting of the suspension of MLC Lal Babu Prasad. Last week, the BJP suspended Lal Babu's primary membership, a couple of days after he allegedly behaved inappropriately with a party member's wife. On Friday, the BJP leaders gathered under the banner of Bihar Tailik Sahu Samaj and chanted slogans against the party's Bihar president, Nityanand Rai. They said Rai had not followed the rules and did not wait for the probe committee report before suspending Lal Babu Prasad from the party's primary membership. Sunil Kumar Pintu said: "Lal Babu Prasad was suspended from the party without any probe of the allegations made by Nutan Singh (LJP MLC and wife of BJP MLA Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu) against Lal Babu." The BJP leaders said Nityanand was behaving like an autocrat. Text by Roshan Kumar, picture by Nagendra Kumar Singh
