A minor boy has alleged that senior deputy collector Rajeshwari Pandey sexually abused him from November 16-18 at his residence in Purnea.
The boy’s father on Thursday lodged a sodomy case against Pandey at Khajanchi Haat police station.
The boy had been living in a juvenile home in Purnea for the past two months but was taken to Pandey’s home on November 16 with the consent of the superintendent in charge, Baijnandan Yadav.
Pandey, senior deputy collector (social security), Purnea, said he was being falsely implicated by Yadav.
He said: “I have been falsely implicated. The superintendent in charge, Yadav, boasts to be politically active and powerful and used to say that he could do anything against any officer. I had a clash with him, as he wanted me to pass illegal vouchers for the juvenile home. I did not do so, so he hatched this conspiracy.”
The minor’s father has alleged his son was taken to Pandey’s residence on November 16 where till November 18, the official sexually assaulted the boy several times. He was then shifted to the juvenile home on the evening of November 18.
The matter came to light on Wednesday.
Khajanchi Haat station house officer Arvind Kumar told The Telegraph: “The victim’s father has lodged an FIR against Rajeshwari Pandey, the senior deputy collector (social security), at Purnea district administration, alleging that his son was sexually assaulted at the official’s residence. We have started a probe in the case. It is too early to make any comment on the case right now.”
