Children can learn how to make optimum use of their time and skills at a camp inaugurated at Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan on Monday.

Around 90 children from nine government schools are taking part in the five- day camp.

Jyoti Parihar, the director of Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan, said: “The purpose of the camp is to enhance the creative skills of children. They should make optimum use of their time and skills and try to learn things that are being taught at the camp.”

The objective of the camp is to ensure that the children learn things that would help them in future.

The first day of the camp was the introduction round where a specialist from Delhi, Amitabh Pandey, introduced the children to the solar system.

Garima, the state convener of Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan, said: “The camp would be divided into three groups according to the strength of the children. The camp would focus on various issues, including science and calligraphy.”

The children would also be taught to make useful things from waste materials.

Amit Kharsani, a specialist from Ahmedabad, attended the camp.
