RJD leader Saroj Yadav on a dharna at the Assembly on Friday. The MLA from Barhara in Bhojpur district accused chief minister Nitish Kumar of conspiring against him.

Saroj said he had been named in an FIR lodged for inciting a group of people to attack an idol immersion procession on January 24. The MLA said this was a false case and he was in Karnataka from January 10-25.

Asked about Saroj's allegation, Ara sub-divisional police officer Sanjay Kumar said: "The matter is under investigation.... If he is claiming that he was in Karnataka even that point would be investigated." Text by Amit Bhelari, picture by Manoj Kumar
