A school bus ran over a youth at Khajpura under the jurisdiction of Airport police station area on Tuesday.

The incident took place around 2pm, police said. The victim, identified as Sanjeet Kumar, was pursuing engineering at a private college. Sanjeet, aged around 21, was crossing the road when the bus hit him.

Sources said there were some students in the bus when the accident occurred. Residents of the area blocked the road in protest and attacked the bus after asking the students on board to get out.

However, the police said there were no students in the school bus. The situation was later brought under control.
