Patna College principal Nawal Kishore Chaudhary felicitates musician and alumnus Gajendra Narayan Singh on Tuesday. An alumnus of Patna College’s 1957-59 batch (history honours), Singh spoke on the state’s musical history at the felicitation ceremony organised in the seminar hall of the institution. He told the audience, comprising students and teachers of the institution, about features of the various musical gharanas of Bihar such as Bettiah, Dumraon and Darbhanga, and stressed on the need to revive the state’s music.
