Patna: The road construction department will hand over Rs 221 crore to the railways on Monday for the R-Block-Digha rail-line stretch land.
Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC), which will build a four-lane road on the stretch, is readying the concept report of the new project and will make a presentation this week.
"The draft of Rs 221 crore is ready and tomorrow we will hand it over to the railways as per the agreement," BSRDC managing director Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said on Sunday.
The district administration has been asked to remove the encroachments from the railway line and it has also submitted its survey report to the BSRDC.
"A concept report has been prepared and its presentation would take place this week," Agarwal said.
After the concept report, the BSRDC will make the detailed project report in which the actual cost of constructing the four-lane road will be revealed. Then, tenders will be invited to execute the project.
The project will also need cabinet approval before execution. The concept report mentions what the requirements are and what should come up where.
"The concept report mentions where there is need of underpass and elevated road apart from six lanes at some places," Agarwal explained.
