Harshil, a Part III MCA student, performs at the farewell-cum-freshers’ day celebrations at Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change in Patna on Monday. While the newcomers looked excited about their first event in the college, the final-year students soaked in the celebrations with full vigour, one last time. Various cultural programmes were organised by the students to mark the occasion. MCA third semester students organised both the events. The cultural programme started with a welcome song — Swagatam. Various dance performances and songs such as Mere man ye bata de tu…, Mere saamne wali khirki mein ek chaand ka tukra rehta hai… received loud applause from the audience. Institute’s director Kameshwar Mishra greeted the students and hailed their performances. “It is a matter of appreciation that seniors and juniors have come together to make this programme a grand success. I am really very happy to see your preparations, which have been reflected in the lovely performances that you have given today,” he told the packed audience.
