Patna: A group of students protested outside the Bihar School Examination Board office on Monday what they called discrepancies in the Intermediate results which were released on Wednesday.

There were students who claimed they had been marked absent despite being present in the examination hall, while others claimed they got the same marks as the previous year, and some students said they had been wrongly given zero marks in their results sheets.

"We are forced to suffer because of the board's mistakes," was a common refrain.

Bhanu Kumar, from RSLC Plus Two School in Rewa, Muzaffarpur, said he had taken the exam again this year because his result was not up to his expectation, said he been given the exact same marks as he had got last year.

"My marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics are the same in every aspect whether practical, theory or objective. How it is possible?" he asked.

Vicky Kumar, from the Government High School in Sarmera, Nalanda, claimed the same thing happened with him as well.

Aaditi, from Women's Inter College, Madhepura, said she was shocked to see she had been marked absent though she had taken all exams.

Nishu Kumar, from SGDM College in Patna, said he got 0 in physics, chemistry and math theory though "my papers had gone well".

Board chairman Anand Kishor told reporters on Wednesday that unsatisfied students can apply for scrutiny of their papers, forms for which will be sold at the board's regional centres in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Purnea, Chhapra, Munger and Saharsa from June 13 to 20.

Students can also apply on the board website, www.biharboard.ac.in.
