The students of Jai Prakash University have opposed the institute authorities’ decision to shift postgraduate departments to the newly built hostel without bus service.

The postgraduate departments of zoology, botany, physics and pshychology have been shifted to the hostel set up on the university campus, about 3km from the town. Student leader Sushil Kumar said it would be difficult to travel to the hostel if the university did not start its bus service.

An official of the university said the bus service would be launched once funds were earmarked.
