The energy department on Thursday evening agreed to all nine demands of power employees except Sanjay Agrawal’s removal from the post of managing director of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.

In place of a judicial inquiry, as sought by the employees, the department has agreed to a high-level inquiry. The Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited also reduced the number of posts being held by Sanjay Agrawal.

He was holding additional charge as director (human resource and public administration) but the post has now been given to Anand Kishore, who is, at present, managing director of the power generation company.
