Patna, Feb. 23: Bihar, for the first time, would host the All India Police Housing Conference in Patna.

Chief minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the meet on March 10.

The event would be organised by Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation in collaboration with Bureau of Police Research and Development, New Delhi.

The two-day conference is likely to be attended by directors-general of police, additional directors-general and inspectors-general of over 20 police housing corporations across the country. Union home secretary R.K. Singh, a Bihar cadre IAS officer, has also consented to attend the conference.

Director general-cum-chairman and managing director of the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation Ashok Kumar Gupta said: “The conference will be a part of Bihar’s centenary celebrations. An exhibition of latest construction materials like cement, iron bars, plumbing, sanitary fittings, tiles, exterior and interior paints, glass and aluminium composite panels would be held on the occasion.”
