Students display prizes they won at a recitation competition at Gyan Niketan in Patna on Wednesday. Participants came from DAV Khagaul, BD Public School, Krishna Niketan, Radiant International School, Rose Public School, May Flower and other institutions for the contest organised as a tribute to poet Suryakant Tripathi Nirala. The students read out his poems. A play based on the life and works of Nirala was also staged at the event. Ashutosh Singh of Gyan Niketan won the first prize in the junior category (classes VI-VIII), while Himanshu Bhushan — also from the host school — bagged the top honours in the senior group (classes IX-XII).
