Anti-tobacco campaigns

The State Health Society on Tuesday felicitated nodal officers of tobacco control programmes and surgeons of eight districts for their contri-bution towards a smoke-free society.

The programme was organised to mark World No-Tobacco Day.

Regional Cancer Centre under Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences and members of Navchetna Vistar, another NGO, organised processions to mark the day.

Haemophilia talk

The state chapter of the Haemophilia Society organised a talk on haemophilia and a free medicine distribution camp on Tuesday.

MP Arun Kumar inaugurated the program.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (CSR division)-New Delhi, distributed free medicines to 15 haemophilia patients.
