The state chapter of National Association of Street Vendors of India organised a news meet at Maurya Lok on Tuesday to announce an awareness camp for street vendors of the city.

On January 20, the camp at Nritya Kala Academi would bring them and the government on the same platform. National coordinator of the organisation Arbind Singh said: "We are working with 42 urban local bodies in Bihar and have undertaken developmental tasks."

Geography meet

The geography department of Patna Women's College organised a seminar - Development and management of urban infrastructure in India: growth, constraints and prospects - on Tuesday.

The session started with a speech by former vice-chancellor of Patna University S. Adhikari on the importance of people's participation in development of urban infrastructure.

Topics such as disaster management and garbage disposal were discussed.
