Tagore tribute

Rabindra Parishad will organise a two-day programme on Rabindranath Tagore's life on November 28 and 29.

Addressing a news meet, Partho Mitra, convener of the programme said Calcutta artistes Ratna Mitra, Amit Rai, Shubhangana Sen, Manoj Murali Nair and Moumita Mallick would perform at the event.

Ratna Mitra, who is famous for giving live commentary at Dakshineshwar in Calcutta, would present the stories of Tagore with Amit Rai. She said: "Apart from the national anthem and Rabindra Sangeet, there are many more interesting aspects of Tagore's life which are unheard of."
