Children of Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhavan will present a play at the National Theatre Festival-Jashne Bachpan in Delhi on Thursday.

The ongoing festival is being organised by National School of Drama (NSD). Anita Kumari, programme officer, Kilkari, said: “We had sent a video of the play along with a detailed script to the NSD on the basis of which the children were selected.”

NSD passout actor-cum-director, Binod Rai, has directed the play, Namaskar-Ji-Namaskar. “We have tried to weave different stories about child rights. Two children, Markenday and Dhiraj, are looking after the background score. The play has come out well after long hours of rehearsals,” Rai said.

The children were also excited during the rehearsal on Tuesday. Class XII student and son of a food vendor Vijay Kumar said: “I am very excited about this festival as it is being hosted by the NSD.”
