Attack on road builders

Gaya: About 50 suspected Maoists attacked the camp of a construction company on Saturday evening at Bishanpur village on Karmayin-Gurua Road in the district. he company is engaged in the construction of the 153km Dumaria-Patna state highway. The armed rebels smashed glasses of vehicles. At the time of the attack, around 100 persons, including officials and labourers engaged in the construction work were present at the camp. However, no one has suffered any injuries in the incident.

Conference

Patna: The Bihar chapter of the Indian Association of Teacher Educators would organise a state-level conference on February 26 to discuss the alleged attack on autonomy of universities by the state government.

Seminar

Patna: Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library on Sunday organised a seminar on Urdu poet Asrar ul Haq Majaz to mark his birth anniversary. Delegates from Bihar and other states took part in the inaugural session of the two-day seminar.

Hotel death

Patna: Police on Sunday confirmed that the 22-year-old person, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a hotel under Kotwali police station on Saturday, was a eunuch.

Two dead

Patna: Two people have died in as fire broke out in a few shanties on road number 23 of Chitkohra area under Gardanibagh police station at 12.30pm on Sunday.

Seizure

Patna: Two persons with narcotics weighing 26kg and worth of over Rs 50,000 were arrested in Patna City on Sunday.
