Patna: The Ram Krishna Nagar police station on Sunday arrested two youths who had looted Rs 21,000 in cash and four mobile phones from the residence of one Anuj Kumar Gupta, a resident of Jakariapur area. he incident had taken place earlier this month. The arrested have been identified as Sonu Kumar and Rishi Kumar. The duo, during police investigation have confessed to their role in the loot of Rs 5 lakh from the Agamkuan police station on January 5 and another loot of Rs 1 lakh from the Kadamkuan police station area last year. A country-made pistol and some live cartridges have been recovered from their possession. Patna: Four persons, including a woman, received serious injuries when a country-made bomb suddenly went off at a brick kiln unit at Karnahiya village under Town police station in Sitamarhi district on Sunday. The victims, were identified as Nikani Khatoon, Riyas Ansari and Mukurla Mahto who have been admitted to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for treatment. The police said the brick kiln unit was closed for the past year. Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar paid floral tributes to Rajendra Singh, former mukhiya and father of Bakhtiyarpur MLA Aniruddh Kumar. Singh died on January 5 at Saidpur in Patna. MP Ramchandra Prasad Singh and former MP Ramkripal Yadav and MLC Sanjay Singh, alias Gandhiji, were among other dignitaries present on the occasion.Patna: Chandragupta Institute of Management organised its first alumni meet on Saturday. The theme of the alumni meet was “Giving back to Bihar”. A cultural programme and seminar was held on the occasion.
