Child goes missing

Patna: A two-year-old boy, Golu, went missing from the house of MS Kamal at Rajendra Nagar under Kadamkuan police station on Sunday. he boy’s mother, Soni Devi, a resident of Pahleja, had come to Kamal’s house for attending a lunch. The boy went missing from outside the house. The Kadamkuan police have registered a missing complaint.

Fraud case

Gaya: A complaint has been lodged in Ara in Bhojpur district on Sunday against an employee of Punjab National Bank in connection with an alleged fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 30 lakh from the bank account of the Jehanabad district magistrate.

Accident

Siwan: One person died and another is reported to be missing after an SUV fell from a bridge into Saryu river at Darauli on Sunday. Eight persons of the family were rescued.

Mob assault

Siwan: About two dozen people lynched Bageshwar Prasad at Rasauli village under Basantpur police station in the district on Saturday night over a dispute on collecting donation for the construction of a temple at the hamlet. The brother of the deceased, Prabhunath Prasad, on Sunday lodged an FIR against the attackers, including the main assailant, Shiv Ballabh Prasad. All the accused are absconding.

Seminar

Gaya: A two-day national seminar on the role of zoological studies for human welfare and development of Bihar was organised at the post-graduate department of zoology at Magadh University on Sunday. Participants stressed on the need for the conservation of natural resources, to identify the disease-prone areas in the state and initiate adequate preventive measures in a stipulated timeframe and to establish laboratories at the university-level.
