Farewell to Patna SSP

Patna: Outgoing Patna senior superintendent of police (SSP) B.S. Meena was given a grand farewell on Sunday at the police lines. Alok Kumar, the newly appointed Patna SSP, was also present.he ceremony saw many police officers coming down to bid Meena farewell. Meena has been promoted as deputy inspector-general of police, Muzaffarpur.

Workshop

Patna: The two-day workshop on robotics conducted by Robosapiens India concluded on Sunday. Over 160 students from various institutes like NIT Patna, BIT Patna, Manit Patna, MIT-Muzzafarpur, WIT Darbhanga and Government College, Bengal had taken part.

Child rights

Bodhgaya: The three-day workshop on child rights and role of deputy directors and district public relations officers (DPRO) was inaugurated at Hotel Tathagat by Rajesh Bhushan, secretary information and public relations. The workshop is supported by Unicef, Bihar and conducted by TRIO development support, New Delhi.

LLB exam

Patna: The third year LLB examination will begin on Monday. Patna University has assigned two centres. The girls’ centre will be at Magadh Mahila College while the boys’ centre will be at BN College.

Blockade

Motihari: Movement of vehicular traffic on the busy National Highway-28, connecting the India-Nepal border was disrupted for hours when an irate mob blocked the road for more than seven hours near Chakia on Sunday. The mob was protesting a murder on Saturday night.

Accident

Chhapra A nine-year-old boy, Zunaid, was crushed under a mini truck at Makerbazar under Maker police station on Sunday. The driver, Rakesh Pandit, was arrested. An FIR has been lodged against the driver following which the blockade was lifted.
