Patna: Bihar State Electricity Board has decided to appoint franchises in urban and rural areas of Bihar to carry out power supply and distribution management system for 11KV feeders.

Blade assault

Patna: Residents of Khajekala police station on Friday evening beat up a man, who was allegedly trying to attack a person with a blade. He was handed over to the police. Meanwhile, three members of a family were allegedly slashed in Patna City.

Court break

Patna: The high court would remain closed from May 19 to June 18 on account of summer vacation. The vacation bench would sit from 8.30am to 2.30pm to hear urgent cases.

Bhagalpur: Chandan Ram, who allegedly burnt his second wife Rupa Devi, at Khapra village in Banka on Wednesday is still absconding.

Molest attack

Patna: Five men beat up a youth as he tried to stop them from molesting his friend, an NIT student, near Gandhi Maidan on Friday. Traffic cops caught one of the five. He is in custody.

Crime check

Patna: Railway Protection Force and the Government Railway Police have decided to work in tandem to check crime on running trains.
