BSEB Class X results

Patna: The Class X results of Bihar School of Examination Board (BSEB) will be declared on Tuesday. SEB chairman Rajmani Singh on Sunday said more than 12.65 lakh students had taken the examination.

Flight delay

Patna: Air India’s evening flight- AI 415/416 was delayed on Sunday by nearly two hours. The flight operating on Delhi-Patna-Delhi route is scheduled to arrive at Patna airport at 7.30pm.

Arrests

Patna: Three criminals — Munna Khan, Mohammad Naseem and Saddam Idrish — were arrested and Rs 1.75 lakh was recovered while they were fleeing after robbing a businessman near Rattubigha petrol pump in Rohtas on Sunday.

Two killed

Patna: Two persons were killed in crossfire over a land dispute between two families at Bagrola village in Saharsa on Sunday. One person was nabbed.

Gamblers held

Patna: A gambling den located in the KP Road area was raided on Sunday and 22 gamblers, including kingpin Mohammad Shahab was arrested.

Girls drown

Bhagalpur: Three girls, identified as Chandani Kumari, Ismati Kumari and Aarati Kumar, drowned in the Kova river on Sunday.

Racket busted

Patna: A flesh-trade and kidnapping racket was busted after eight members of a gang, including two women, were caught from different hotels in Araria and Purnea. Two pistols, 20 cartridges, 10 cellphones and 30 SIM cards were seized.

Abduction case

Bhagalpur: One person was arrested and a tractor seized in connection with the alleged abduction of a group of fishermen on Saturday. All fishermen were rescued by the police.

BJP jab at UPA

Patna: Motihari BJP MP and newly appointed in-charge of membership drive Radha Mohan Singh on Sunday attacked the UPA government and accused it of corruption. He added that that the BJP will undertake a membership drive from June 1 to July 31.

Paswan attack

Patna: LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday attacked chief minister Nitish Kumar for alleged law and order problems and rising corruption.

Road accident

Patna: Yogesh Kumar, a commissioner office employee, was killed in a road accident near the office on Sunday.

Lightning toll

Madhepura (PTI): Six persons, including a woman, died when lightning struck them in Madhepura and Bhagalpur districts on Sunday.

Supply down

Patna: Snags in three power plants of NTPC — Farakka (2 and 6) and Kehalgaon (2) — have reduced the total central power supply in the state from 1,833MW to 1,175MW.
