Patna: Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday said the state government would distribute 20 lakh saplings across the state free of cost from August 1 to 9. e added that the environment and forest department would construct an eco-friendly building at Rs 15 crore on Peer Ali Road.

CM flays PMC

Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness work in the state capital during a review meeting of urban development department. Patna divisional commissioner K.P. Ramaiah and district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Singh attended the meet.

Patna: Executive director of Bank of India B.P. Sharma will visit Patna on August 1 to review the progress of implementation of its financial inclusion programme by the branches of the bank across the state.

Heart clinic

Patna: The Heart and Lung Institute of the Ford Hospital will start functioning from August 2. The unit will be open round-the-clock and will offer the latest technologies and expertise in the medical field, officials of the hospital said on Tuesday.
