Fake phones seized

Patna: Duplicate mobile phones of a renowned brand worth lakhs were seized in a raid on Tuesday, police sources said. he raid, based on a tip-off took place at Bakarganj area under Pirbhore police station. Fake mobile phones of one Intel company were seized. Some people have been arrested and they are being interrogated.

Flights

Patna: Two flights of Jet Airways were kept on standby for half-an-hour on Tuesday evening because of bad weather. They were finally allowed to land at 8.30pm.

Body found

Patna: A middle-aged woman named Nibha, a resident of Transport Nagar area was arrested by Agamkuan police under the Patna city area on Tuesday. The arrest was made after the body of her nephew was found from a bush near her house.

Boy missing

Patna: Praful Kumar, student of Class VI of Shastrinagar-based Scholar Abode School, has been missing since June 25. His father lodged an FIR with the Shastrinagar police station on Tuesday. His father, a hawildar with the Bihar police said that on June 25 evening, Kumar was called by two of his friends Yuvraj and Rohit to play.

Notification

Patna: Kosi divisional commissioner JRK Rao has been given the additional charge of Munger division and Purnea divisional commissioner Brajesh Mehrotra has been given additional charge of Bhagalpur division. The general administration department on Tuesday issued the notification. Another notification issued by the department said that agriculture department secretary Vijaylakshmi N would hold the additional charge of mission director of Bihar state horticulture mission.

Raids

Gaya: Raids were conducted late on Monday evening at two shops selling wristwatches and recovered duplicate wristwatches of Titan worth around Rs 5 lakh. Owners of both the shops located at KP Road and GB Road under Kotwali police station were arrested. Deputy superintendent of police Imteyaz Ahmad said that acting on a tip-off the raids were conducted. The company officials lodged an FIR against the owners of the two shops.

Siwan: A 30-year-old married woman Sangita was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital after she suffered burn injuries at her house in Amnaura village on Tuesday.

Squatters

Patna: A division bench of Justice P.C. Verma and Justice A.K. Trivedi of Patna High on Tuesday gave two months to identify encroachments prevailing in medical colleges. The court, while hearing a PIL of Guddu Baba directed district magistrates and superintendents of police concerned to remove the encroachments.
