Grains supply order

Patna: Food and consumer protection minister Shyam Rajak has asked his officials to ensure swift distribution and collection of foodgrain in the state.

Rajak said there was a problem of backlog in some districts because of non-availability.

3 arrested

Patna: Three persons were arrested from Patna, Masauri (Patna rural) and Aurangabad on Tuesday for alleged involvement in a dummy examinees’ racket.

Police plan

Patna: The state police headquarters has decided to launch “operation clean” to deal with white collar crime.

Murder case

Patna: Four accused in JD(U) leader Satyendra Sinha’s murder case, including former MP Vijay Krishna and his son Chanakya, deposed before additional district and sessions judge Om Prakash Sinha to get their statement recorded.

Rebels held

Sasaram: Three alleged Maoists — Bacharu Paswan, Ramashish Ram and Pankaj Yadav — were arrested from Kaimur plateau in Rohtas for involvement in the murder of one Satyendra Yadav.

Bribe cuffs

Patna: Kamlesh Singh, a revenue officer of Patna Municipal Corporation (Kankerbagh), was arrested by the vigilance investigation bureau, while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from one Vishwanath Singh.

Body found

Buxar: The body of Rohit Kumar (28) was recovered at Sonapa village’s Buxar-Mohaniya route on Tuesday.
