Patna: Vigilance Investigation Bureau on Thursday filed a chargesheet against former chief engineer Harishwar Prasad Sinha and three other persons in the Special Vigilance Court in connection with irregularities in a tender bidding. he bureau filed another chargesheet against Bihta police station assistant sub-inspector Badri Ram in connection with a bribery case.

Order

Patna: The high court on Thursday directed the human resource development department principal secretary, Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University vice-chancellor and registrar to appear before it on November 9 in connection with a contempt case pertaining to non-payment of salary to the teachers.

Jail clash

Patna: Two groups of prisoners clashed on the premises of Lakhisarai jail on Thursday. The prisoners also attacked policemen who tried to bring the situation under control.

Mishap

Hajipur: Four policemen were injured when a police patrol car escorting deputy chief minister S.K. Modi hit another vehicle near Jadhua under Industrial police station in Vaishali district on Thursday. The injured cops have been admitted to the Hajipur Sadar Hospital.
