Mishaps kill five

Biharsharif/Muzaffarpur: Five persons were killed and 35 others were injured in two accidents on Tuesday. bus turned turtle at Rotaniya village under Kajra police station in Muzaffarpur killing four. In Nalanda, a man died when the bus they were travelling in hit a truck.

Pension case

Patna: A high court division bench of Justice T. Meena Kumari and Justice Vikash Jain on Tuesday sought a response from the state government on a petition challenging its decision to launch JP Samman Pension Yojana for those who were in jail in the Jaya Prakash Movement.

Arrest

Patna: Three persons, who were on their way to the state capital with fake currency worth Rs 25,000, were arrested at Chakmusa under Jaipur police station on Tuesday. City west superintendent of police Upendra Sharma led the operation.

Clash

Gaya: Autorickshaw drivers protesting against the district transport officer clashed with the police near Jehanabad railway station on Tuesday.

Child killed

Siwan: Pakaulia resident Usha Devi stabbed seven-year-old Manjesh Kumar on Monday evening. She confessed to the murder after being arrested.
