Patna (PTI): The Bihar government on Wednesday accused the Centre of not reimbursing Rs 969.75 crore it spent on upkeep of national highways passing through the state. Road construction minister Nand Kishore Yadav said the Centre had given in-principle approval after which the state spent Rs 969.75 crore from 2007-11. Gopalganj: Villagers of Revatith Diwani Tola in the district found a half-eaten body at a sugarcane field on Wednesday and identified it to be of Class III student Choti Kumari who had gone missing on February 9. he seven-year-old girl had gone to the field with her grandfather. The family lodged a missing complaint at Sidhwalia police station on February 10. After some children playing near the field, alerted by a stink, called the villagers to the spot on Wednesday, Choti’s family members identified the body by the clothes found near it. Alleging that the girl was raped and killed, the residents became agitated and called for action. Sub-divisional police officer Nirmal Kumari and circle officer Vakil Singh rushed to the village.
