Patna, Feb. 7 (PTI): Senior JD(U) leader K.C. Tyagi was elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Bihar today. yagi came out flashing the victory sign (in picture by Nagendra Kumar Singh) after collecting the winning certificate from Assembly secretary-cum-returning officer Phul Jha. Tyagi, considered a close aide of JD(U) president Sharad Yadav, was declared elected at the end of the deadline for withdrawal of nomination, as he was the sole candidate in the fray. He will be a member of the Rajya Sabha till July 7, 2016. Patna: Dinesh Chandra Yadav, whose election to the Lok Sabha from Khagaria was set aside on Wednesday, filed a petition in the high court on Thursday seeking stay of its order.
