Building action

Patna: The high court division bench of Justice Navin Sinha and Justice Vikash Jain on Monday directed Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) to file its action taken report by September 2 against the illegal commercial and residential high-rises being constructed in the city in violation of building bylaws and its orders. he bench also made it clear to the PMC officials not to misuse and abuse its orders. The civic body has already submitted a list of hundreds of apartments which are being built in the violation of the building bylaws.

Candle march

Patna: Members of Patna District Bar Association and Bihar Yuva Adhiwakta Kalyan Samiti on Monday took out a candle march to demand action against Khajekala police station officials for allegedly misbehaving with a lawyer a few days ago.

Roadmap

Patna: Chief secretary A.K. Sinha on Monday directed departments concerned to expedite the implementation of schemes related to the agriculture roadmap. Sinha was chairing a high-level meeting to review the progress of the roadmap.

Flood watch

Patna: Chief secretary A.K. Sinha on Monday directed the Patna district administration to keep a close watch on the water level of the Ganga and directed officials concerned to submit a detailed assessment report on relief material needed for flood-hit people.

Arrest

Patna: Two criminals were arrested from the Shastri Nagar area and one of them confessed to his alleged involvement in a murder case. Police said on Monday the duo were travelling on a motorcycle with a “press” sticker pasted on it.
