Chhapra, Aug. 6: Seven persons, including a woman, died when a jeep in which they were travelling, fell into a roadside ditch at Chhapia village this morning.he identities of most of the deceased have not been ascertained till the time of filing the report. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Ten other people suffered injuries. Sources said the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver is absconding. Bettiah: At least six students of a primary school of Sonbarsa (Naika tola) village under Yogapatti block of West Champaran were hospitalised after consuming water from the school handpump on Tuesday morning. The exact reason for the contamination is yet to be ascertained but the handpump was sealed as a precautionary measure. A teacher of the school, Keshav Mani Tiwari, said the students have been admitted to MJK Hospital in Bettiah where doctors said they were out of danger.Siwan: Third fast track court judge Om Prakash awarded life imprisonment to six persons in connection with a case of dacoity and murder at Shubh Hata village under jurisdiction of Siswan police station in 1975.
