Patna: Vigilance bureau personnel arrested Surendra Prasad Yadav, the panchayat secretary of Phenhara in East Champaran, while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 on Wednesday. he bureau officers laid the trap after verifying a complaint lodged by one Shyam Kishore Singh in which he claimed that the panchayat secretary was demanding bribe in lieu of updating a file. Samastipur: Sujit Kumar, a 28-year-old resident of Khoksaha village, was shot dead by unidentified criminals in the Nayanagar area under Hassanpur police station, around 110km northeast of Patna, on Wednesday.
