Jail for leader

New Delhi, May 24: JD(U) national secretary Virendra Singh Bidhuri has been sentenced to a year’s jail in a theft case by a Delhi court, reports PTI. he court said Virendra did not deserve to be released on probation as he failed to learn a lesson despite being convicted in other criminal cases.

Four dead

Buxar: Four people were killed in different road mishaps on Saturday when a passenger bus overturned near Chakiya village. In another incident, two youths died after their bike hit a road-roller near Kukurbhunka.

Prison term

Patna: Special vigilance judge Daanpal Singh sentenced former clerk of Vihar Resam College Shambhu Prasad Singh and one Kusum Khare to three years’ jail in a graft case.
