Ten killed in mishap

Bettiah: At least 10 persons, including four children, were killed and two others were injured when a goods train hit a jeep carrying the members of a marriage party at an unmanned crossing in West Champaran district on Saturday evening. he bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Residents disrupted the train movement on Bettiah-Sugauli railway section of East Central Railway for over five hours on Sunday and demanded for an iron-gate on a railway crossing near Rajghat.

Accident

Gaya (PTI): Three persons were killed on Sunday when a truck hit their bike near Rahim Bigaha village on NH-83 in Gaya.

Motihari: Timber dealer Ram Babu Thakur was shot dead by criminals near Ram Chela Sthan in East Champaran district late on Saturday evening.

Hajipur: Devendra Prasad Singh (65), a retired teacher, was beaten to death by residents at Kanchanpur village in Vaishali district on Sunday.

Purnea: Two criminals were arrested on Sunday and two country-made pistols, six live cartridges, a torch and lock-cutter were recovered from them.

Dairy check

Patna: BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav alleged that Bihar State Milk Co-operative Limited supplies two lakh litres of milk to Joya dairy in Moradabad at “extremely low rate” and demanded a probe.
