Patna, May 8: Neurology update — 2011, which was organised in a city hotel today, turned out to be a real boon for about 40 patients suffering from various neurological disabilities.
Around 25 specialists from metropolitan cities had come down in the capital.
The patients took the opportunity to consult the veterans. The continued medical education programme was jointly organised by Indian Epilepsy Association and neurology department of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS).
Dr Ashok Kumar, head of department, neurology IGIMS and organising secretary of the event said: “The health facility helped these patients to make the most of the opportunity as best neurologists from across the country had gathered at the event.”
Many of the patients who attended the meet were very poor and could not afford to go to big cities. Others had come here to take a second opinion from the experts, Kumar said.
