In love
with lifeWhen I opened my eyes on what others called Earth, I was crying,
For, I couldn't see His face anywhere.
And when I saw people around me having mirth,
I cried more asking why was I sent here.
Time passed and some f amiliar faces surrounded me,
I called one of them mother, who wept when I cried,
I called one of them father, and he taught me to look ahead.
I called some old
wrinkled faces my grandparents,
And they told me fables of their time.
I called some my uncles and aunts,
And for them I was like their own child.
I called one of them my sibling,
And he helped me in my studies.
I called others my cousins,
And they became my best buddies.
I called some others my friends,
And they never let me be bored.
I called others by other names,
And for them, I thanked the Lord.
Then a day came when I met God in my dream,
He smiled because He could see me beaming,
And asked me if I wanted to return?
Thinking of separation, I cried!
He smiled at me and said,
I knew this family would make you fall in love with life.
