Patna, Dec. 27: 'We are Black, We are White, We are Michaelite, We are Dynamite.'

Nothing official about this saying every Michaelite relates to for more reasons than just the white shirt and black trouser in their school uniform. But one cannot miss it every time they gather, like they did today, for the alumni meet.

There were even students from the Class of 1969. The high point was the visit of Father P.T. Augustine, principal from 1984 to 1992 and now rector at St Xavier's School, Delhi.

They also planned silver jubilee celebrations for the Class of 1989. Vijay Raj, son of P.S. Raj, retired mathematics teacher of the school, booked his tickets from Singapore four months ago. 'Around 50 of us from 1989 batch have come,' said Vijay, a director with Unilever in Singapore.

The meet commenced with a cricket match between 1989 and other batches and then brunch. 'We were very mischievous,' recalled Vikram Sinha (1989), now an event manager in Dubai. Gaurav Sabharwal, managing director at Pernod Ricard, Singapore, said: 'This is my first visit after 1996 but the warmth is intact.'

Evening was about chatting, clicking snaps and dancing. St Michael's Alumni Association also selected its new office-bearers, Rajiv Ranjan was elected president.

'The meet allows us to relish and relive the glorious past spent here,' said outgoing president Sanjay Shrivastava (1981 batch), who is now director, NIFT-Patna.
