Thursday will open a new chapter in the city's gastronomical chapter - with a foodie trip to Turkey.
Sultan's Cuisines will open its doors at Patna One Mall near the Dakbungalow square. Here, residents will be able to enjoy authentic Turkish flavours with a series of exciting food.
Chief chef Sartaz Bedi, who worked in a Turkey restaurant for a over a year from 2015, said he will source all his spices from Spice Bazaar, one of the largest markets in Istanbul.

With the spices sourced from Turkey, Sultan's Cuisines will dish out dishes such as Al Faham, Lebanese grilled chicken, Arabian grilled chicken, chick shish tawook, Turkish chicken kebab and chilli wings.
"If we cook Turkish food in the local spices, it won't give that flavour and aroma of Turkey," said Sartaz. "All the spices we will use in the restaurant will be imported from Turkey. We will have seven cooks at the restaurant, including two dessert chefs. They are all local people, but I have trained them how to cook the special dishes on the menu. It took almost two months to train them."
Bailey Road resident Sakshi Pandey heard about the outlet and was immediately excited about discovering a new cuisine. "I have never tasted Turkish food and definitely want to try the shawarma. Shawarma at Al Bake in Delhi is the best that I have ever tasted," she said. "I had shawarma at Al Chef and Forks n Pins in Patna, but they were not satisfactory and not even close to what I had in Delhi."

"Al Faham and Turkish kebabs sound amazing to me," said Saima Khan, a resident of Buddha Marg. "This is the first time I have heard these names and am eagerly waiting to taste the dishes."
Managing director of Sultan's Cuisines, Kahkasha Naz, said: "We have a different section on the menu for shawarma. It includes chicken shawarma tortilla wrap, paneer shawarma tortilla wrap, chicken shawarma pita bread and Turkish chicken shawarma. People can find shawarmas in Patna but ours will be a different experience. This menu will certainly attract food lovers."
"I had been looking to start a food outlet for a long time," she said. "After travelling a lot, I decided to open a food joint serving Turkish dishes. One thing I like about their dishes that it is not very spicy and are easily digested."
She speaks from experience as she has spent three years in Turkey.
Sultan's Cuisines owner Jahanara said the menu will introduce custard Danish, a pastry, in a few days, and also introduce the residents to Thai rolled ice cream.
"This icecream will certainly attract all age groups. It's just what it sounds like," said Jahanara. "Little rolls of ice cream, about the size of a roll of quarters, are packed in a cup, topped with fruits, jellies and chocolate chips. We have bought a rolled ice cream machine from Delhi for this." And what's better, the restaurant offers free home delivery.
