Matriculation Exams halt Gandhi Setu flank closure

A senior road construction official said there was a plan to close the western flank of Gandhi Setu for 24 hours on Sunday but it could inconvenience students writing their matriculation exam. The team suggested closing the western flank after Holi. However, no formal decision has been taken yet. Last month, road, transport and highways officials had visited Patna and held a meeting with chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh.A decision was taken to close the western flank of the Setu for some time to assess the impact once revamp starts. The dilapidated 5.575-km-long bridge is the main link between north Bihar and Patna.
