Rajgir, Oct. 5: LJP chief and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan today said that the NDA is united and all constituents of the NDA will fight unitedly in the next general election. The minister was speaking on the first day of the party's national convention. The event being held at the Rajgir International Convention Centre was aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroots level. District presidents from all units were called to the two-day national convention.

Party national president Ram Vilas Paswan said: 'There is at present no confusion on seat-sharing among NDA constituents in Bihar, including JDU. Our primary focus is to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. If the LJP is strong at booth level, it will automatically make NDA and BJP stronger.'

The Union minister stated that the party has started preparations for the 2019 elections, and party cadres and leaders at booth-levels have been asked to start preparations. They have been asked to spread the word about various welfare schemes started by the Centre.

Paswan said welfare schemes such as Ujjala and electricity to poor have benefited the poor a lot.

Earlier, Jamui MP and party parliamentary board chairman Chirag Paswan inaugurated the two-day national convention. Chirag asked the party leaders to be disciplined and always ready to solve people's problems. He said: 'Our party workers should be disciplined and they should always be ready to address people's issues as this is the best way to strengthen the party. Party leaders should focus more on working at ground level.'
