JD(U) MLC Sanjay Singh on Thursday threatened to drag RJD chief Lalu Prasad to court for having called him an “Alsatian” at the RJD’s Parivartan Rally on Wednesday.
“Lalu Prasad has used unparliamentary language. I’m deeply hurt, I’ll drag him to court,” Singh said. Lalu had used the same word to describe former MLC Sanjay Jha too.
Singh said he would file a criminal case and a defamation suit. “I am a Kshatriya and Sanjay Jha a Brahmin. Lalu’s remarks are an attack on the Kshatriya and Brahmin communities, he is jealous of upper castes.”
RJD MP Ram Kripal Yadav denied the charges and said Lalu was always surrounded by upper caste leaders. “Regarding the ‘Alsatian’ remark, I don’t think he was referring to him as a dog. Show me a dictionary that lists Alsatian as ‘dog’. Despite all this, if anyone feels that he is a dog, then we can’t help it,” Yadav said.
