Patna, Dec. 6: Those with firm determination can make the impossible possible. That was the message put forward by students of St Karen's High School today.
The students performed a play, Ek Anutha Safar (A unique journey ), to celebrate the golden jubilee function of the institution in Patna.
Seema Singh, the principal of St Karen's High School, appreciated the performance and said it was the result of the effort of all the students and teachers put together. She thanked Rakhi Verma for scripting and directing the play and Amit Sagar for choreographing the dance.
A total of 450 students took part in the function. Two other plays were also presented on the occasion.
The school campus was decorated to commemorate the completion of 50 years.
S.M. Raju, the secretary of rural development, was the chief guest.
Director of the school D.P. Gaulstan and principal Seema Singh inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp followed by the welcome dance by the Class I students of the school. The tiny tots received huge rounds of applause for their performance.
While addressing the programme, Gaulstan put light on the 50 years of the tireless journey and hard work of the principals, students, teachers and non-teaching employees of the school.
'We are fortunate and fond of all the previous principals and the present head of the school. As a director, I can say that it's their efforts that made the St Karen's High School what it is today. I hope the present principal, Seema Singh, will take the school to new heights in the future. The efforts of all the students and teachers of the school made today's programme a successful one,' Gaulstan said.
Principal Singh said: 'St Karen's believes in inculcating right values and attitude among its students so that they can become important personalities in the future. It's a big day for Karenites to celebrate this event and I want to thank all the students, the teaching and non-teaching employees of the school. We also thanks the parents for believing in us.'
