Patna, Dec. 7:

Bihar National College (BN College) is going to organize an inter-college science exhibition on December 22. Talking to The Telegraph BN College principal Dr Rajkishore Prasad said: �The holding of science exhibition assumes importance because such type of exhibition is being organized at Patna University after many years.�

Prasad also said that the main theme behind organizing such type of incidents is to infuse scientific temper among science students. It has been noticed that there has been all around downfall in traditional course such as science, arts in PU due to growing popularity in vocational courses such as Bio-Technology, BBA and other vocational course.

The exhibition which is open for all and has no entry fee will invites student having scientific temper. Vinod Prasad, a teacher of Botany department said: � We have sent the invitations to all constituent colleges under Patna University apart from National Institute of Technology (NIT) and we are hopeful that the exhibitions will draw large students who are enthusiastic on science subjects.�

The exhibition has been divided into four categories such as Earth Science, Life Science, Physical and Chemical Science and Mathematical and Conceptual Science. The participating students will present their designs and models through posters and makeshift models. The exhibition is likely to be inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of Patna University Professor Shyam Lal and the chief guest at the function will be Pro Vice-Chancellor SI Ahson.

Ankit Raj a student of Physics department from BN College who is enthusiastic with the science exhibition said: �He is preparing a model on water harvesting which shows about the scientific ways about water harvesting.� �With depleting water table and irregular monsoon farmers and general people should be taught about the ways to conserve water as the third World War will happen for water�, said Raj.

The eight member which includes science teachers from various faculties of Patna University will judged the participants and participants will be awarded. Each successful participants will be given certificates.
