Patna, Dec. 7: IIT-Kharag-pur's entrepreneurship cell is inviting Patna students dreaming of starting or joining start-ups to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016 at the institute from January 8 to 10.
IIT-Kharagpur's entrepreneurship cell (ecell) is visiting city colleges to invite students. They can also register at www.ges.ecell-iitkgp.org.
Institutes likely to participate include IIT-Patna, NIT-Patna, BIT-Patna, Magadh Mahila College, Patna Women's College and CIMP. Start-ups like Retention.ai, Qulp and Alma Mater will attend. Harshit Anand, junior associate of the event, said: "The idea is to give students a chance to showcase their skills."
At a contest, Elevator Pitch, students will be invited to explain their start-up ideas in three minutes. If it impresses attending members of top business houses, they will be provided venture capital.
At the last summit in January, Google CEO Sundar Pichai (IIT-Kharagpur alumnus) addressed students through video-conferencing. The coming event will include workshops on building entrepreneurial acumen. BSE, VMware, Calcutta Angels, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Flipkart, Amazon Web Services, Deloitte will attend.
