Kavita Narayan

Age: 45 years

Resident of: Boring Canal Road

Quote: 'The present political situation is very much confusing. Last year, Nitish Kumar suddenly stepped down from his post and handed over the charge to Jitan Ram Manjhi. Now there is infighting between Nitish and Manjhi for the chief minister's post. Now, God only knows what the governor will do - whether he will favour Nitish or Manjhi or go for president's rule.'

How much time she devotes to newspapers or news channels: 'I spend around 20 minutes watching political news on television.'

Nutan Sharma

Age: 30

Resident of: Mitramandal Colony

Quote: 'Nitish Kumar and Jitan Ram Manjhi's equation now looks more like that between India and Pakistan. However, Nitishji comes across like a selfish person in all this. First, he gave away his position to Manjhi and now he is snatching it back from him. I think Nitishji should not have shown he was doing some kind of sacrifice when he was vacating his chair last year. We are getting to see a totally different face of Nitishji in all these incidents.'

How much time she devotes to newspapers or news channels: 'I depend on all mediums to keep myself updated about Bihar politics. I spend around 10 minutes on newspapers (mostly the front page) and also watch news channels for around half an hour everyday.

Meenakshi Verma

Age: 45

Resident of: Kadamkuan

Quote: 'I was very much impressed by Nitishji's performance. He was very good as chief minister, as he took many steps for the welfare of the people of the state. But he suddenly vacated the post and asked Manjhi to step in. By doing so, he insulted the mandate of Bihar's people. Now I cannot sympathise with Nitishji any more.'

How much time she devotes to newspapers or news channels: 'I read newspapers but the time is not fixed.'

Supriya Soni

Age: 34

Resident of: Barh

Quote: Manjhi has talked rubbish from the day he became chief minister. Nitishji never did this during his tenure. He seemed a very balanced man whenever he spoke. Nitishji is far more suited to be chief minister, also because of his intellect and wide vision. He has studied engineering while Manjhi's educational qualification is not as impressive. It would be good if Nitishji replaces Manjhi as chief minister.'

How much time she devotes to newspapers or news channels: 'I watch news channels with my husband everyday, in the morning and at night too.'

Sujata Singh

Age: 47

Resident of: Kidwaipuri

Quote: 'Nitishji has never stuck to any principle. First he joined hands with Lalu Prasad and now he is trying to replace Jitan Ram Manjhi as chief minister. It was Nitishji who had handed over the charge of chief minister to Manjhi. People follow any one principle in politics, but it seems Nitishji has no fixed principle. He can twist it any time as per his requirement.'

How much time she devotes to newspapers or news channels: 'I watch news channels in the morning and also for around 10-15 minutes at night.

Suman Choudhary

Age: 42

Resident of: Patna Junction

Quote: 'Nitishji has proved himself during his tenure. He generated employment by recruiting people in various government sectors on contract. In the education sector too, Nitishji started cycle yojana and many other good schemes. However, I cannot recall a single step taken by him for the welfare of the people of Bihar. Nitishji is our true leader. He has every right to make a comeback.'
