The district administration has set up flying squads and special surveillance teams for each of the 11 Assembly constituencies in order to ensure fair polling.
The idea is to keep a tab on those who try to disrupt peaceful polling and to spread awareness among voters about not letting anyone influence their voting pattern.
While the flying squads would check movement of vehicles and people , surveillance teams would spread word about ethical voting. Each Assembly segment would have three flying squads and three surveillance teams.
District election officer-cum-district magistrate Dharmendra Kumar said booth level awareness groups had also been formed at the 1,464 polling booths.
Dharmendra has ordered all banks to preserve details of major transactions and pass it on to the election commission office daily.
