Patna, May 8:At least 12 men and four women were arrested last night in a raid at a city restaurant under Gandhi Nagar police station. The arrested people said that they were attending a birthday party.
Among the men arrested was one Zafar Khan, a so-called pimp, who used to arrange women on-call basis.
Though those arrested claimed that they were just having some fun and did not indulge in any unlawful activity, the police thought otherwise. Police sources said during the raid, the men, who were on a high because of excessive alcohol consumption were indulging in several indecent and vulgar acts with the women.
Police sources told The Telegraph many get together events and parties in the state capital at present were seeing similar cases of “businesswomen” being called in for different purposes.
A police officer said in this particular case, the four women said in their statement they had been called for this bash to entertain the guests. The girls had been promised a sum of Rs 2,000 each for the entire night, said the officer.
He said Zafar Khan had the telephone numbers of the girls and he called them to be with the guests. The owner of the restaurant Satyam Raj Raju contacted Zafar and asked him to bring the girls.
